From the very basics to the deeply complex; this is my journey.
My name is Brandon Bowman, and I am an experienced Information Technology & Security Professional and a Marine Corps Veteran.
I currently work as an Information Technology Consultant, having previously worked as an Information Systems & Security Manager for a national foodservice buying cooperative in the Atlanta metropolitan area. There, I maintained a private datacenter full of various physical and virtualized servers (both Windows and Linux-based), web applications, and other services. I also maintained an operational IBM AS/400 ERP platform.I have a demonstrated history in Information Technology, Cloud Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Information Security, Systems Administration, and Business Transformation. I also have experience in designing and deploying multi- and hybrid-cloud environments with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and VMware.
I am educated with a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance, a Bachelor of Science degree in Cloud Computing, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. I have also achieved numerous industry professional certifications including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time learning new technologies and building various projects, and them documenting them on my Hashnode blog. I also enjoy spending time with my amazing wife, Crystal, and our dogs, Ella and Ozzie. I am a big Atlanta sports fan, and I enjoy getting outdoors as much as I can. My golf game definitely needs some work!
